When the problem lives between people.
Therapy for couples and families, with practitioners trained in Emotion-Focused Therapy and systemic family therapy. We work with the relationship, not just the people in it.
What we hear in the first call.
“We keep having the same fight.”
“We love each other, but we've stopped talking.”
“A baby is coming and we're scared it will change us.”
“My teenager won't talk to me.”
“Our families keep getting in the middle.”
“Something broke the trust, and we don't know how to repair it.”

Everyone gets heard, including the person who didn't want to come.
The first session is about understanding the pattern: what happens between you, what each of you feels underneath it, and what you'd each like instead.
Sometimes the practitioner will also see each person on their own. Nobody is put on trial, and nobody is told they are the problem.
The couple's arc.
Prepare/Enrich, 1000 Days and the rest of the couple's arc: support built around each chapter of a relationship.
Practitioners who see couples and families.

Does my partner have to come?
It helps, but it isn't required. Many people start on their own and bring their partner or family in later. Your practitioner can help you work out how to ask.
Will the therapist take sides?
No. In couples and family work the client is the relationship. A good therapist makes sure each person is heard, including the one who didn't want to come.
We're not in crisis. Is this still for us?
Yes. Couples come before a wedding, before a baby, after a move, or simply because the same argument keeps coming back. Earlier is usually easier.
How do I know who to see?
Try Vibe Check, a quick check-in on this site, or book the free 15-minute call. We'll suggest someone based on what's going on, the language you'd like to speak and when you're free. If the match doesn't feel right after the first session, tell us and we'll help you change.
Can sessions be online?
Yes. Most practitioners see clients in person at Sunway Geo Avenue and online. Tell us which you prefer when you get in touch.
Which languages can I use?
Between us we work in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka and Vietnamese. Each profile lists the languages that practitioner works in.
Is it confidential?
Yes. What you say stays between you and your practitioner, within the legal and ethical limits they'll explain in your first session, such as a serious risk to your safety or someone else's.
What if I'm in crisis right now?
Safe Space is not a crisis service. Call Talian Kasih on 15999 or Befrienders KL on 03-7627 2929, or 999 in an emergency.
The first step is a short call.
Fifteen minutes, free, by phone or WhatsApp. Tell us what's going on and we'll suggest who to see.
